Meet Our World Cup Solitaire Champions!
And, as quickly as it all arrived, it's over. Four weeks of top action that had people all over the globe hooked. As players celebrated into the night, toasting their successes, thousands of others were left to sit back and reflect on what might have been. However, we're not talking about the 2006 World Cup (although many congratulations to the Italians) - we're talking about our superb World Cup Panic Solitaire Tournament!
Over the last four weeks, we had thousands upon thousands of entries as players from all over the world attempted to turn their Panic Solitaire skills into big cash prizes. There was also the bonus of Official World Cup Football Shirts and Official World Cup Footballs - perfect prizes as football-fever swept the planet! However, it was only ever going to run for four weeks and so, as we bid it adieu (at least until South Africa 2010), here's a perfect opportunity to highlight our very own World Cup Winners!
First up was elize, playing in India, who scooped over £850 / $1,500 / €1,200 / A$2,000 in the first week's competition along with an official World Cup Football and a German football shirt. Next up was dallasm from Belgium who decided that he would get into the World Cup mood with a Brazilian shirt, official World Cup football and over £700 / $1,300 / €1,000 / A$1,700 in cash! Certainly enough to get anybody dancing the Samba! GrPoulet from France won our third weekly competition and a French shirt is winging it's way over to him now (along with a healthy £650 / $1,200 / €950 / A$1,600 cash prize) while our fourth and final tournament was clinched by U.S. player suekb who'll celebrate the end of the World Cup with a £580 / $1,000 / €830 / A$1,400 payout!
As well as these four winners, we gave away over £6,500 / $12,000 / €9,300 / A$16,000 in cash to the Top 10 players in each tournament - enough to keep even an English fan happy!
